Beginner Level
I will read the book Erosion by G. Gibbons. Then we will watch a short video clip of erosion and weathering. Next, I will present a PowerPoint on erosion and weathering. As I am doing these activities, I will be asking and answering questions to clarify anything students may need help with. After this, the fun begins! Students will make a model to block erosion and present to the class if they want to. No background knowledge is needed for this class. All learners are welcomed.

Students will able to describe the basic difference between physical weathering and erosion.

I meet the needs of students and adjust the pace of the class to meet the needs of learners. Once learners show their face at the beginning they can turn their camera off.

Materials: sand, fabric strips, 8” X 1” strips, wire mesh strips, 8” X 1” strips, paper towels, clay, paint mixing sticks/rulers, newspaper, large plastic pans/trays, gauze, cotton balls
