Class Experience

US Grade Kindergarten - 3
In this fun, interactive class learners will practice reading words with long vowel sounds: A, E, I, O, U. We will learn the "bossy E" symbol & that "bossy E" makes the vowel say its name, making the long vowel sound. Learners who join this class should be able to read CVC words such as: cap, hop, pin. I will use Slides and pictures to teach the skill. Then we will log on to a Nearpod that we will do together.
At the end of class, we will play a CVCe match game.

Examples of words we will practice reading include:
date wake
tune cape
file pine

Let's have fun with A, E, I, O, and yoU!

I have been teaching elementary school for over 17 years. I have taught students in general education and students in Special Education. I have taught in both private and charter school settings.
