Beginner Level
Learners may know their ABC's and the alphabet song, but do they know the correct SOUNDS letters make? This element is an important step towards learning how to read and write. In this ongoing class, learners will be taught the letters of the alphabet, their sounds, pronunciation, formation and more! This is a beginner's level class. Let's lay a solid foundation for learning letters, their sounds and phonics. 💛As an early childhood educator, I have years of experience teaching preschool, Pre-K and kindergarten readiness. Learning the letters of the alphabet and their correct pronunciation and formation are valuable, foundational skills. 🎉We will meet two days per week; one to focus on upper case and one to focus on lower case of the same letter. 🎉I will send an adorable and fun playdough mat sheet with the outline of the letter for that day. This sheet also contains a section for identifying pictures of objects that begin with that letter and a spot for letter tracing and writing. This fun activity sheet will enhance your learner's class experience and will be sent before each class. 🎉Placing the sheet in a plastic worksheet cover will prevent the dough from sticking to the paper as well as enable the worksheet to be reusable time after time should your learner want to practice outside of class. 💛Each week students will learn a different letter, correct sound and formation of that letter and what begins with that letter. We will practice letter formation and construct letters while using fine motor skills and learning correct letter sounds. We will also have ~ Alphabet Show & Tell ~ where learners may bring one item they find that begins with the letter of that week. This fun experience helps learners practice their letter sounds while enhancing their social skills. In this ongoing class, we will: * Learn and review the letters of the alphabet. * Learn what objects start with each letter. * Learn uppercase and lowercase letter identification, recognition and sound. * Learn correct letter formation, uppercase and lowercase. * Learn how to write letters correctly. * Utilize fine motor and social skills. * Much more! 💛 Letters will not be taught in alphabetical order so that students may learn their letters and not just memorize them. 💛 Your learner may join this class anytime as this is an ongoing class. 💛 This class is perfect for beginners or for anyone who needs review. Everyone is welcome! We will always start on time. I look forward to seeing you in this fun class! :)
