The student will be able to play a couple of songs on their own. They will get a feel for steady beat and how to play with a steady tempo. The student will learn any musical notation or musical concepts that apply to the particular songs we are working on for that class. The student will learn how to read ukelele tablature. If the student has taken this class before, then we will move on to more advanced tablature , and move onto chord diagrams. If the student has taken this class a couple of times before, then we will move onto playing and strumming chords, as well as singing along with the songs, if they want to sing.
I have been an Outschool teacher since May 2020. I have 20+ years experience, as a music teacher. I have taught piano, electric keyboard, guitar, and general music classes, in both the classroom and private settings. I was head of the music department at a private high school in Maryland. I taught private piano and guitar lessons at a guitar shop, for 5 years, in addition to my own private students in my studio.
Homework Offered
I will post song sheets and other materials into the classroom. They can practice between lessons, so that they will be better prepared for the next class.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class

I will send the parent a link for Uke Buddy , an online tuner. I occasionally play a song on YouTube , during class, so that the student can hear how the song goes, and sometimes we will play along with the recording.
