Beginner - Advanced Level

Is your child interested in learning to play the ukulele? Join this personalized course where they will receive individual attention and guidance to develop their ukulele skills. Whether they are a complete beginner or have some prior experience, these 1:1 ukulele lessons will help them become confident players and have fun with music.

Throughout the course, your child will learn the fundamentals of playing the ukulele, including strumming techniques, chord progressions, fingerpicking patterns, and basic music theory. They will also explore different musical genres and learn popular songs to play on the ukulele. Each session will be tailored to your child's specific needs and goals, ensuring a customized learning experience.

The class will be conducted through live video sessions, allowing for interactive instruction and immediate feedback. During the sessions, your child will have the opportunity to ask questions, practice alongside the instructor, and receive personalized guidance. They will also have access to resources, practice materials, and song sheets to support their learning between sessions.

No prior experience or knowledge is required for this course. Whether your child is picking up the ukulele for the first time or has some familiarity with it, this course is designed to meet them at their current skill level and help them progress in their musical journey.

Bachelor's Degree in Music or Theatre or Arts from Utah State University

I am an indie-pop singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. I have received a degree from Utah State University, and have been teaching lessons since 2014. As a teaching artist, I've written hundreds of songs, performed at dozens of venues, and helped innumerable people learn the ukulele. Alongside singing and songwriting, I assist my students in learning the ukulele. I also have experience teaching individual ukulele lessons.

I created curriculum and taught over 200 group music classes at a summer camp. I worked with kids as an assistant teacher at Mountain West String Academy. As a continuous learner, I've attended over a dozen songwriting music conferences and I have completed my music teaching training program at Songsmith Studio.
