Week 1Lesson 1Discover Your Voice!Listen to various voices and analyze what we like or don't like, and what is considered a "healthy" sound. Learn about the biological workings of the voice. Learn best practices for breathing and posture. Belting 101: How to belt and what it "should" sound like. How do they do that? Listening to our favorite belters and rock singers. Homework: Pitch matching, breathing exercises, and Challenge 1: Sing your favorite song! Private feedback offered via OS messaging. Lesson 2: Building on Basics andWeek 2Lesson 2High Notes and Harmonies!Review Lesson 1 warm-ups and introduce solfège. Continue learning about the biological aspects of the voice. Play pitch and rhythm matching games. Head Voice: Understanding its history and technique. Study famous opera divas and divos. Homework: Resubmit your favorite song based on feedback given. Upload a "Head Voice" song.Week 3Lesson 3Mastering the Music Magic!Review Lesson 2 and continue with solfège. Learn about switching registers, riffing, and scatting. Homework: Resubmit your favorite song based on feedback. Submit a song that utilizes belting.Week 4Lesson 4Sing Your Heart Out!Discuss what comes next in your singing journey. Reflect on where you fit in the singing world. Address comparisons and judgments, and how to avoid being your own worst enemy. Homework: Learn a brand new song and upload it!
