Private Piano/Keyboard Lessons - Ongoing Class

Join me for fun and engaging weekly piano lessons! 

Any level and ability! My focus is on fun, engaging and low-pressure lessons for even the most reserved learner. 

Each 30-minute session is designed to help you learn new concepts, skills, and songs. We'll start with 5 minutes to show off your practice from the week before and work through any challenges together. Then, we'll spend 15-20 minutes on new concepts and skills, followed by 5 minutes of fun music theory games.

Lessons are about learning, while practice is about applying that learning. Our goal is for you to understand the concepts and be able to play the songs, not to perfect them during the lesson. Topics include note identification, musical symbols, composers, scales, and chords. 



Because the class is based on individual student progress, attendance is absolutely necessary. If the student cannot attend, please notify the teacher in advance and offer some suggestions for a make-up lesson. If a student is not in the classroom at class time, the teacher will wait 10 minutes. If a student has still not arrived, class is canceled for the week and will not be rescheduled. If the teacher is notified before class that the student will not be there, the teacher will try to reschedule the lesson within the week. Class is canceled after 10 minutes with no learner present. There are no refunds for late cancellations. 

In our lessons, we will cover a variety of topics, including note identification (bass and treble clef identification), musical symbols, tempo and markings, composers such as Bach, Mozart, and Hayden, and scales and chords (major and minor).
