In this course we will progress through basic first grade phonics and phonemic awareness objectives. We will practice sight words, reading and writing all within one forty minute period. We will utilize appropriate research based strategies to increase reading fluency and comprehension. This course is best suited for students who know all of their letter sounds and who are able to blend C-V-C words. Although it is aimed at first grade students it would be appropriate for advanced kindergarten students or second grade students who need extra support. Hi! My name is Tiffany Evans and I am a certified teacher located in North Carolina. I have taught kindergarten through fifth grade as well as pre-school and have my Master's Degree in Reading Education, which is my passion. My peers describe me as patient and detail orientated.
