Join me for a 4-week class for the beginning writer where we will build confidence in their ability to write and develop their writing skills through a short, fun writing activity during each class meeting. Worksheets provided!


C O U R S E  O U T L I N E : 

In this class, students will...

👉 Either write short phrases or write in complete sentences with a capital letter at the beginning & punctuation at the end, depending on the student's writing level

👉 Work on writing 3-4 sentences during each class.

W E E K L Y  T O P I C S:

👉 Week 1: All about me
Students will brainstorm facts about themselves, then put a few of the facts into sentences.

👉 Week 2: How To writing
Students will write the steps for how to make a pizza, in paragraph form using transition words.

👉 Week 3: Friendly letter writing
Students will choose a friend of family member to write to, and will learn about the structure of a friendly letter. They will write words & phrases to fill in the friendly letter template worksheet.

👉 Week 4: Book Report writing
Students will choose one of their favorite books and write words & phrases about what they enjoyed most about the book & why they would recommend it to others.
