Write On!: A Middle School Writing Class
In this semester long course, students will learn about, write, edit, and workshop different types of narrative, expository, and persuasive writing. Students will have a writing portfolio of nine different pieces by the end of class.

Description
Class Experience
Students will explore and practice every step and element of the writing process, including brainstorming, editing, revising, peer editing, sentence/paragraph/essay structure, descriptive language, and word choice. Class will consist of instruction, learning activities, writing exercises, group activities, and peer review workshops. Homework will consist of writing and editing the current writing assignment. Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
55 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
