Class Experience

US Grade 5 - 8
In Brain Food Masters, students discover how specific foods directly power brain function through four key pathways: brain cell protection, energy boosting, memory support, and focus enhancement.

This engaging online class reveals the science behind "brain superfoods" in kid-friendly terms. Students will learn which foods provide building blocks for important brain chemicals, which protect brain cells from damage, and which foods improve blood flow to deliver more oxygen to the brain for clearer thinking.

The curriculum explores fascinating concepts like how berries shield brain cells, how omega-3s help build brain connections, how protein-rich foods create chemicals for happiness and focus, and how certain spices can actually help our brains grow new cells. We'll also discuss how some food combinations work better together than alone – like the special team-up between caffeine and L-theanine in tea that creates calm focus.

Each session includes colorful presentations, interactive discussions, and take-home recipe cards for brain-boosting drinks and snacks. Students will discover practical ways to incorporate these foods into their daily routines for better focus, improved memory, and enhanced learning capabilities.

The content is age-adjusted, with younger students focusing on concrete examples and fun food "superpowers," while older participants explore more detailed mechanisms of how nutrients affect brain function.

I am a certified integrative nutrition health coach and former preschool teacher with years of experience creating engaging, real-world learning experiences for children. As a homeschooling parent of four, I teach kids daily about the connection between food, habits, and how we feel. My passion for neuroscience and communication intelligence shapes my approach, helping children build self-awareness, confidence, and healthy routines. I have led hands-on homeschool health and wellness workshops, teaching kids how to make informed choices about nutrition, sleep, and movement in a fun and interactive way. My goal is to empower children with practical skills they can use to feel their best every day.
