In this ongoing club, learners will explore crafts and activities each week inspired by the dragons in Cressida Cowell’s How to Train Your Dragon series, Tui T Sutherland’s Wings of Fire books, or Tracey West's Dragon Master Series.
Class Experience
Each week dragon lovers will share their knowledge and love of dragons in this laid back social/creating club. Content will be informed and selected weekly based on learner input. Each week’s session will be inspired by popular dragon literature and will begin with introductions of new students and time for show and share inspired by the topic for the day. - This ongoing social class will provide learners a place to share their love of dragons while exploring their creativity practicing creative thinking skills.
Suggested materials lists will be shared in the classroom. Due to the learner input in determining session content, suggested materials will vary each session. Projects will be determined 4 - 6 sessions in advance to allow time to gather supplies.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Some projects may require parental supervision with scissors or other basic arts and crafts materials. Sessions in which we participate in guided adventures or "escape rooms" may require occasional tech assistance if the learner's computer is unable to access ZOOM tools such as annotate or multiple tabs.
