s a home educator, I taught English to my own children. I have a major in English and years of teaching high school English. I have also been successfully teaching this to private students and intervention small groups in a charter school for the past four years. Here are two recommendations. "Susan is an amazing teacher/tutor. She has a strong background in reading and writing and is able to turn student failure into success. I've seen students make multi-grade advances with her tutoring support." -Joyce Faulks Jackson, Diagnostician, Newman International Academy of Cedar Hill Executive Director of Special Education, Grand Prairie ISD - retired ------- "I highly recommend Susan Franklin. My son Matthew, who has struggled in class with reading/ writing has been working with Mrs. Susan and has really benefited. Since he has been attending tutoring (July 2016) his reading skills and confidence have improved tremendously; his school teachers have noticed the change from last year. In the past, we have tried other various teaching tools from online videos, flashcards, and phonics in which became overwhelming. This led to frustration with our son and no direction in place to help him. Matthew and I visited with Mrs. Susan expressing our concerns regarding his reading issues that he has been experiencing at school, she presented a plan on how to approach with comprehensive lessons that Matt has followed. Mrs. Susan has shown flexibility in working with us on scheduling tutoring around soccer practices and other things that may arise. My wife and I are most grateful for the hard work and patience that Mrs. S has shown him This makes us proud as parents knowing that our son can now read and that we have chosen the right person to teach our son Thank you, Mrs. Susan!" -Mr.& Mrs. Eli Castorena
