Students will recognize the roots in words they read, determine the basic meaning of the root, and learn the definitions and pronunciation of two or more words that derive from each root.  Students will review the parts of speech, basic sentence structure, and practice writing sentences using the derivatives of these Greek and Latin roots.

s a home educator, I taught English to  my own children.  I have a major in English and years of teaching high school English.  I have also been successfully teaching this to private students and intervention small groups in a charter school for the past four years.

"I highly recommend Susan Franklin. My son Matthew, who has struggled in class with reading/ writing has been working with Mrs. Susan and has really benefited. Since he has been attending tutoring (July 2016) his reading skills and confidence have improved tremendously; his school teachers have noticed the change from last year.

They will be expected to review their notes, flashcards, and use the Quizlet or Spelling City activities provided if they need the review.

We will play games daily to review the material covered.  

4 hours 35 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
