I am I am a K-12 teacher (15 years); currently, I teach a 4th and 5th grade combination class. I have spent three-fourths (3/4) of my classroom teaching career in the elementary and junior high school settings. With a Ph.D. in Criminal Justice, I am an online university adjunct professor of criminology, criminal justice, forensics, and sociology, as well as an experienced online high school teacher, having developed and taught high school courses for criminology, criminal justice, and criminal profiling, all online. I also serve as a peer-reviewer for numerous professional journals. I have studied these topics in depth and am well read on the subjects, and continue to devote time to learning about new developments, theories, and discoveries.
All hand outs will be provided each class. No materials will need to be purchased
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
This class is intended for young students. Topics we cover will be age-appropriate. However, as a reminder, we will be talking about crime. When we discuss crime, for the most part, crime will eb discussed in general. We will focus on some specific types of crime (that are age-appropriate). With that, sensitive or traumatizing topics and types of crime will not be covered.
