This class will focus on how to summarize a fiction story called "Oliver Otter's Own Office" using transition words, learn about sequence within a story using transition words, and spot words with long o and short o sounds. We always start the lesson with an opinion question to give every student to practice listening and speaking in English. The teacher will use a fiction story that focuses on a vowel sound for the day. The lesson is taught with graphic organizers and hand signals to help build memory. Students are encouraged to participate by reading, answering questions, practicing hand signals, and sharing their experience.
