Students will learn the 4 story elements by reading a fiction story.
Students will practice long and short vowel sounds.
I have been an ELD specialist for 2 years and have experience in working with students K-6. I support English Learners develop their language skills. My goal is to help students build confidence and give them a place where they can develop their language skills. I create activities to practice reading, listening, speaking, and writing skills.
The teacher will provide additional activities for students to use to develop their understanding of summarizing a fiction story. Students can access assignments by joining my google classroom. Homework will take 30-40 minutes outside of class.
The teacher will supply all needed materials.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
The teacher will listen to student responses and provide specific feedback and support on how to improve. The teacher will also provide the necessary feedback on Google Classroom when the student submits an assignment.
40 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Parents of young students may need to support their child with the digital features on Zoom, Google Classroom, and Epic books.
I will be using Google Classroom to post the lesson of the day and assignment. Students may also use Epic to access digital books.
