Read like a champion! Through these 1:1 sessions with your learner, we will work to improve reading skills all across the board: comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, fiction/nonfiction, etc. Recommended for middle grade students (grade 5-8).

Through 1:1 private reading tutoring, I will work to meet the needs of your learner. I come to Outschool with a lot of experience teaching young readers and have several tools that have worked wonders over the years such as guided reading, fluency monitoring, and read-alouds. We will focus on whatever is needed to ensure your learner becomes a stronger reader. To ensure effective tutoring, the teacher suggests meeting 2x per week. Book additional recurring meetings after the initial purchase.- Students will able to gain confidence in their reading ability.

I come to Outschool with 6 years of experience teaching young readers. I am a certified, licensed teacher. Year after year, students come to me with varying levels of ability when it comes to reading and I have several tools in my kit to ensure growth among my students. I am a passionate educator with the goal of eventually becoming a Reading Specialist and cannot imagine doing anything else!

We will not be using any sensitive material in our sessions. We may use informational texts from sites like: NewsELA, CommonLIT, ActivelyLearn, or ReadWorks and students will be able to create their own account for independent or extra work if needed. It is by no means a requirement.
