Intermediate Level
These 40 minute interactive sessions will enhance reading fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension skills in English language learners by reading various passages and discuss select elements from them. Please see the syllabus for more details about weekly topics. Each class will consist of a warm-up game focusing on vocabulary, reading passages, and a teacher-led discussion. All reading passages will be provided.

Curriculum

The Importance of Reading
We will discuss the importance of reading and read a simple story. 40 mins online live lesson
Lesson 2:
Building Vocabulary
We will review vocabulary from last week and read a short story. 40 mins online live lesson
Lesson 3:
Expressive Reading
We will practice tone and expression and read a dramatic story or play. 40 mins online live lesson
Lesson 4:
Illustrations and Text
We will talk about how illustrations help our understanding in reading passages and read a story with rich illustrations. 40 mins online live lesson
