*This is a self-paced schedule class. This means there are NO LIVE MEETINGS. I also offer this as an ongoing class if you are interested! Do you love geography? Do you love play-dough? Then let's have fun creating while learning about the world around us! In this flexible schedule class, learners will be introduced to the 7 continents while building with Play-Doh and using Nearpod. Students will learn interesting facts about the world as they build. Students will construct many different geographical features, such as: major rivers, mountain ranges, and climate zones. Learners will need at least four cans of play-dough. Students may use more colors for a more detailed model (5-7 cans of Play-Dough or clay). I will provide videos with step-by-step directions as we build our continents together. Continent maps will be provided, along with the videos. Students may print it out to use as a reference or mat to work on. I will talk and ask questions about the landforms while creating them. Students can post their answers to the questions in the classroom. No previous knowledge needed! Join anytime you want! Each class will include a range of teaching methods and activities that are designed to engage the learners in both a hands-on and minds-on way. Classes will include Q&A, slideshow, fun facts, hands-on activities, worksheets, videos, and much more. Learners will be encouraged to observe, explore, question and share what they learn. A variety of methods are used to support learners and cater for different learning styles and needs.

I have been a science fair coach and judge for middle school students. I love to teach and I love making learning fun for my students! I especially enjoy teaching topics that students have expressed an interest in. I try to incorporate real world connections across different content areas to help relate to my students. My goal in my classes is to have my students play an active role in their learning. I have a wonderful family and farm! We have a 14 year old son, a European starling, axolotl, fish, snails, 7 chickens, 4 small piggies, and many whitetail deer! I love to teach!
