Do you love animals? Do you art? Then let's have fun creating while learning about animals and how they survive in nature! In this ongoing class, learners will be introduced to natural selection and adaptations while building with Play-Doh or any art supplies of choice. Students will learn interesting facts about bioluminescence, mimicry, camouflage, and more! Students will construct many different animal related models. Learners will need at least four cans of play-dough. Students may use more colors for a more detailed model (5-7 cans of Play-Dough or clay). I will be using a second spotlighted camera to show step-by-step directions as we make and learn about science together. Handouts will be provided before each class. Students may print it out to use as a reference or mat to work on. I will talk and ask questions about while creating. Students can share their finished masterpieces in class or by posting pictures in the classroom. No previous knowledge needed! Join anytime you want! Each class will include a range of teaching methods and activities that are designed to engage the learners in both a hands-on and minds-on way. Classes will include Q&A, slideshow, fun facts, hands-on activities, worksheets, songs, videos and much more. Learners will be encouraged to observe, explore, question and share what they learn. A variety of methods are used to support learners and cater for different learning styles and needs.
