6 live meetings
5 hrs 30 mins in-class hoursHomework
1-2 hours per week. Each week students will receive a new set of vocabulary flashcards which I recommend reviewing throughout the week to help with retention of the vocabulary. Reviewing 10-15 minutes per day will greatly help students be prepared for the following class. I will teach simple games that can be used at home with your students throughout the week to help them practice. Listening to or practicing the songs we learn in class will also greatly help learners retain their new vocabulary.Assessment
One assessment will be done (informal) at the end of the class to see how much students can recall on their own! It will be done in the form of a game or activity.Class Experience
This 55 minute class is designed as a continuation of Beginner Hindi Part 2 or for students who have taken some Hindi previously! This class is for students aged 5-10 and will be a fun and interactive way to experience the Hindi language. Printables and resources will be posted in the classroom before the start of each class. Part 3 of Beginner Hindi will focus more on confidence in speaking in the present continuous tense (Mai chal raha/rahi hoon. Mai khana kha raha/rahi hoon.). We will begin each class with an introduction, "Namaste, aap kaise hain?" (Hello, how are you?), and a review of our previous week's topic. Then we will learn and practice with 8-10 new vocabulary words. Through games, activities, and songs/video clips we will build a solid foundation with our new vocabulary. Topics will be as follows but may change according to the levels and needs of learners in the class.
Learning Goals
Students will recall and be able to correctly pronounce all beginner vocabulary, as well as simple sentence structure in Hindi to introduce themselves, ask questions, and describe what they are doing.
