Class Experience

Namaste!
Welcome to the Hindi Language class.
**Classes will begin by introducing ourselves, such as, "Hello, my name is Kosha" (Namaste, mera naam Kosha hai), discussing previous class topics as well as a quiz from it.**
In this class, student will get one on one attention in learning either a completely new language or polish and pick up from their current understanding of the language. Focus will be on learning numbers, fruits, animals, vegetables, parts of body, pronouns and family names such as mother, father etc in Hindi.
This class is discussion based but will be using worksheets in all classes. Not only will we speak about the topic in as much detail in both, Hindi and English, but also write words to practice learning them. Example, we will write 1- Ek , 2 - Do, 3 - Teen so the student will know what they mean and how to pronounce them. It's completely fine if the student cannot write, I will be providing sheets to practice at home at a later time. English will be used to support the student with basic understanding of the topic.
No previous knowledge of the language is needed in this class.
Possible 1st 4 weeks will look like (but can change depending on the childs needs)
Week of March 8th: Numbers 1-15 (Ek se pandrah)
Week of March 15: Colors (Rang)
Week of March 22: Fruits (Phal)
Week of March 29: Vegetables (Sabzi)
Parent will be contacted before class to asses the learners understanding of the language, and classes will be structured accordingly. Based on learners progress and interest, learner can continue to enroll in private tutoring for further intense training in Hindi.

**Notes**
Ongoing classes mean that you will be charged every Sunday for the following week unless the learner stops subscription or the teacher withdraws the learner after discussing it with the parent.

There will not be any refunds or make up classes for any missed class. Missed class means a class that was scheduled and student did not show up because they "forgot" about it. If it is communicated to the teacher in advance about the absence of the learner, the learner will be refunded or advised a make-up class.

Hello everybody, my name is Ms. Kosha, a proud teacher, wife and a mother to my 7 year old daughter and a 6 year old son. I was born and brought up in India, with English and Hindi being my strongest languages growing up. Hindi was taught in my school, college (university), and used as the main language to speak in, throughout the time living in India. Despite coming to the United States 15 years ago, I have never let go off my culture, and passionately teach kids of various age groups on a daily basis. As a teacher, I am fun loving, welcoming, as well as positive in my teachings. I believe, encouraging a child when they do something right is the best way to teach. As a mom of young kids, I know that patience is virtue and show that in my teachings. I assure you, my classes will be fun as well as strongly focused on the subject.
