Class Experience

Description:
This is a fun and engaging gymnastics class designed for beginners who are just starting their journey. If you’re looking to master foundational skills like cartwheels, handstands, and rolls while building a routine, this is the perfect class for you! Over six weeks, learners will progress through a structured plan that focuses on strength, flexibility, and confidence in gymnastics.

What’s Included:
Weekly video demonstrations and instructions.
Personalized feedback on submitted videos.
Step-by-step skill breakdowns for rolls, handstands, and cartwheels.
A final routine to showcase new skills and progress!

Learning Goals

By the end of this course, learners will have mastered basic gymnastics skills, gained confidence, and performed a fun routine that showcases their progress.

Syllabus

6 Lessons
over 1 Week
Lesson 1:
Foundations
 Warm-up with fun stretches and basic strength drills.

Learn the basics of front and back rolls, handstand levers, and cartwheel preps.

Start working on your routine with the first four skills. 
Lesson 2:
Building Skills
 Focus on details like salutes and posture.

Build on front and back rolls, handstands, and cartwheel drills.

Add two new skills to the routine. 
Lesson 3:
Skill Refinement
 Refine front and back rolls with fun variations.



Progress handstands with hops and leg positions.



Begin working on "rainbow cartwheels."



Add two more skills to your routine. 
Lesson 4:
Polishing Performance
 Continue refining all learned skills.



Perfect cartwheel transitions and bonus skills like wall walks.



Add the final touches to your routine.

Parental supervision is advised to ensure the safety of the learner during physical activities.

Kaz is a dedicated and passionate gymnastics coach with over a decade of experience. She began her coaching journey in 2009 and took her passion to the next level by opening Coach Kaz Gymnastics in 2012. Over the years, Kaz has expanded her business to online formats to share her love of gymnastics worldwide. 

Kaz strives to make every session fun and active while fostering confidence, positive attitudes, and essential personal skills in her students. She believes that gymnastics is more than just a sport; it’s the foundation of human movement, providing the building blocks necessary for development in all sports. The fitness and life skills learned through gymnastics are tremendous, and Kaz is dedicated to showing her students that they can achieve anything they set their minds to with hard work and a positive attitude.

Kaz holds an associate's degree in Sports Exercise and Science from Amarillo College, where she gained hands-on experience teaching both children and adults about fitness and body movement. She furthered her education at West Texas A&M University, earning a degree in Psychology. This academic background provides Kaz with a deep understanding of how the mind and body work together, enhancing her ability to teach new skills effectively.

Kaz has taken numerous courses focused on teaching the foundations of gymnastics. Her commitment to continuing education and practical experience has made her an expert in her field. Kaz loves watching her students grow stronger and more confident with each new skill, knowing they have a solid foundation to build upon.
