Class Experience

This class is welcomed to both boys and girls! We will be learning stretching, conditioning, and basic, beginner gymnastics skills. This class is welcomed to all gymnast, no prior knowledge is required. Students are welcome to come and go as they please without missing important information. Coordination, confidence, strength and conditioning along with practicing our flexibility, and of course all the memories are among the list of gifts you can give your child when you enroll them in gymnastics! With my classes, you can introduce and practice skills from your very own home, and help create a foundation your child can take with them to any sport! Every activity and skill set is easily modified to fit any learning style.

Please practice gymnastics in a safe space with no obstacles in the way. (coffee tables, breakable valuables, etc.) Also, provide a soft area (gymnastics mat, yoga mat, carpet) for your gymnast to practice on.

Our class schedule looks like this:

0-5 minutes - Welcome and stretching.
6- 20 minutes - Line Drills. Skill will typically progress in this order: Bridges, Handstands and Handstand Drills, front rolls and back rolls, handstands, cartwheels and round offs.
20-25 minutes - Strengths and Conditioning/Game. We will play a game at the end of class or show everyone our favorite trick. We will also do conditioning to a fun song!

Week 1: The first week we will work on both front roll and back roll, handstand, bridges, cartwheel and round offs.

Week 2: Learner directed

Week 3: Learner directed

Week 4: Learner directed

Whenever students are involved in a physical fitness routine, I also advise parents of any potential hazards (including, but not limited to, needing an open workout space, proper footwear, a water bottle if needed, and adequate stretching beforehand) as well as injuries that can occur if not properly supervised.
