Unexpected situations can arise at any time. While we should not live our lives in fear, we should take steps to be prepared for emergency situations. In this class students will create a list of their top 10 bug out items based on their unique location, natural resources, and climate. Students will learn the basics that every bug out bag should have and will discuss why each item is important. This is a low stress class. We are not going to focus on what disasters or emergencies may happen, but instead we'll focus on what we can control and will learn to be prepared.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Arizona Teaching Certificate in Elementary Education
Bachelor's Degree in Education from Northern Arizona University
Hello families! I’m Amanda and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to teach your learner! I love everything about education and feel consider being a teacher as part of who I am. It is my passion!
I have a bachelor's degree in elementary and special education, two active teaching licenses in Arizona and reading and ESL endorsements. I've been teaching since 2017 and I'm working towards a master's in child and adolescent development.
My goal as your learner’s teacher is to inspire them to be lifelong learners. Learning is scary and requires a lot of vulnerability to take chances knowing you could make a mistake. I pride myself on helping students feel safe, confident, and secure in themselves. I’ve always seen tremendous growth in students when they are in an environment that allows for them to safely make mistakes and learn from them.
I’m looking forward to meeting your learner and joining them in their educational journey!
