This is a 45-minute one-to-one tutoring session for any student seeking help on their homework or who needs help reviewing their high school Algebra or Geometry concepts. Topics in Algebra 1 include Algebra Foundations, solving equations and inequalities, working with units, linear equations with graphs, equations, or tables, the point-slope, slope-intercept, and standard form of equations, solving systems of equations and inequalities (including graphs), functions (evaluating, interpreting notation, determining the domain of a function), absolute value, exponents, radicals, exponential growth and decay, quadratic functions and equations, and irrational numbers. Topics in Geometry include an introduction to Euclidean geometry, transformations and proofs, triangle congruence and similarity, right triangles and trigonometry, analytic geometry, conic sections, circles, and constructing regular polygons using the compass, straight edge, and protractor, concluding with solid geometry (volume and surface area). Advanced topics in Pre-Calculus, Trigonometry, Algebra 2, and Calculus are also covered under this listing. Just let me know in advance!

Teacher expertise and credentials
I have taught math and science from middle school, through high-school college-prep, and tutored at the college level. In the over 20 years that I have been teaching, I have developed multiple approaches in order to accommodate learners with varied learning abilities, including those with ADHD, dyslexia, or math anxiety. I worked with the Strategic Alternative Learning Techniques (SALT) program at the University of Arizona for the four years I attended the university.
