Class Experience

US Grade 2 - 12
Important Notes:
All of my classes are inclusive and welcome the neurodiverse child.
Tailored to each student's interest and skill level.
CEFR: B1-B2 or above.
Class may be taught in English or Spanish.

In this class, Learner will discover master artist, Ramón Oviedo, from his humble, self-taught beginnings, to reaching recognition in his native Dominican Republic, as well as overseas, from New York, Washington, D.C., Cagnes-sur-Mer (the French Riviera town in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region in southeastern France), to the Universal Temple of Culture, the Uffizi Gallery in Florence, Italy.

Learner will develop an art and cultural appreciation "outside the mainstream box", to explore greatness at times unknown through the many examples of media and unique style in which Oviedo created his master pieces.

The class is structured with an introduction, a vibrant slide presentation, exchanges, and Q & A.

Teaching style is kind and inclusive, filled with details, emphasizing love for the arts, with captivating and expanding learning. Learners will interact with teacher and each other throughout the class.

Class size is kept small to allow for comments and riveting curiosity.

For these reasons and for gauging Learner's interest level and to be able to adjust accordingly, I require open mics and video in my classes so there is a sense of community and engagement with the material.

Class includes information from primary sources making the class material truly come to life in a meaningful way.

This class is one of a group of Art History classes, which may be taken as a complete group, as in a camp format, or separately.

No previous experience is required.
