Important Note: CEFR: all levels Learner shall be cleared by his/her Physician to engage in the physical practice of Yoga. This is an ongoing, one on one private class for any young student needing a Brain Break as requested by some parents. This class is perfect for siblings wishing to destress, have healthy fun and relax to regain balance and harmony. Each week Learner is guided through a complete yogic practice to include a variety of accessible and relevant techniques: Each class begins with a catching up so as to be able to personalize the practice to meet learner's present needs; followed by grounding and centering practices; an individualized selection of Yoga poses that may range from invigorating to relaxing and which include all 7 movements of the spine for a balanced physical/mental workout, as well as specific poses to meet the child's needs for the day; practice is then paired with a matching breathing technique; ending with a mini mindfulness practice including an affirmation. Learner may expect between 20 and 25 minutes of physical movement for each class. Each class will include the above program, with variations of poses for each spinal movement category of forward and backbends, bilateral stretches, twists, and for safety reasons, inversions provided will be of level 1 and 2 only. This class gifts the child with a sense of relief, oxygenating the body & mind, and then relaxing deeper to harmonize all the layers of their being, especially the muscular and nervous systems. Teaching style is inclusive, with kindness, descriptive of the practices in age-appropriate language, and with fun yet serene interaction. For these reasons and for gauging Learner's interest level and to be able to adjust accordingly, I require open mics and video in my classes so there is a sense of community and engagement with the material. There is no pre-requisite for this class. Safety First: Learner shall be cleared by his/her Physician to engage in the physical practice of Yoga. By registering Learner in this class, Guardian/Parent(s) acknowledge(s) they understand there are always risks in any physical program, assume(s) all risks, and waive(s) any rights to file any claim against the instructor in regards to Learner's participation in class. Class will be individualized to meet learner(s) needs each week.
