Class Experience
Students will learn: • How to be confident public speakers. • How to actively listen and respond to others. • How to craft rational and logical arguments. • How to disagree with others while maintaining respect and kindness. Students will gain valuable experience: • Presenting their own ideas in front of the class. • Answering a question from multiple perspectives. • Participating in competitive debates.
Teacher Mel is a law school graduate. She has been an active participant on debate teams and in moot courts for many years. She's also coached several debate clubs and moot teams.
35 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
