Welcome to Entrepreneurship for Kids: How to Start a Business. Join a group of like minded friends while we create individual business plans and learn the basics of entrepreneurship. This five part class will be an interactive and fun experience for anyone interested in someday owning and operating their own business. Students will learn: • What is entrepreneurship and why is it important? • How to complete and utilize a SWOT analysis. • What is a mission statement, vision statement, and business description? • What is branding? • How to identify your ideal customer and advertise to them? • How to keep track of and record business income and expenses? • How to calculate break even point and target profit points? Students will gain experience: • Brainstorming and discussing business ideas • Setting SMART goals • Using critical thinking skills
Homework Offered
Students have the option of taking what they learn in class and further developing their own ideas in order to start their own small businesses. Some brainstorming at home may be necessary between each class.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
