US Grade Pre-Kindergarten - 1
Welcome aboard explorers! We’re about to set sail on a series of adventures where we’ll encounter lots of new friends, complete lots of math problems, and have a ton of fun. In each class we will explore a new imaginary location with lots of math problems to solve. We will count, add, subtract, identify shapes, tell time and more! Students in this class will get to practice adding and subtracting single digit and multi digit numbers within 20. Students who want more practice with number recognition before beginning this class may like to try Teacher Mel's Math with Movement where we build these important skills. This class is perfect for students with big imaginations. I love making math fun and accessible for all students. Students will be encouraged to be active participants. Adventures will be based on learner suggestions and current events. Our schedule will always be flexible and may change based on learner requests. The section running on Mondays and Wednesdays at 12:00pm Eastern will have an increased focus on time, shapes, charts, currency, and problem solving. Get ready to have fun, make mistakes, and learn lots of math!
