In this Procreate Animation club, each week we will create an animation piece in Procreate, looking at some different methods of working, creating art, and bringing it to life. There will be no set curriculum, as learners in this club will decide each week what they want to work on, whether it's a project you are in the middle of, a technique you want to try out, or whether you just want to experiment with animating, together we will decide what to do. From creating simple single layer animation to more complex multilayer animation, creating stop-motion animation, and even inserting animating elements to photographs, this club is the place to learn and expand your knowledge Learners are encouraged to share their animation projects, and to bring their ideas and inspiration to each week's session. Each week we will spend a few minutes sharing our animation, then we will think up an idea for that session's animation. After this we will set about creating the animation, looking at the different layers and brushes we would need. If we can't think of anything to do, don't worry, I'll have a few ideas up my sleeve to get us started. Sessions will be mostly learner-guided, and as such there will be no set scheduled subjects. Learners are free to drop in and out since each week will provide new and engaging work to complete. Here is a sample of some ideas we could come up with: - Creating stop-motion animation - Making a ball bounce around the screen - Design a little character with moving arms and legs - Create a wing-flapping bird or bat There are so many more ideas we can come up with - come along and share your ideas!

I'm a qualified teacher, experienced in teaching English, History, Music, and Art. I home educated my two children, who are now at university, and I have taught in mainstream schools, and in Special-Ed schools.
I have also taught piano, guitar, singing, and music theory, taking students through grade examinations.
I am experienced in teaching the British GCSEs, and through home-schooling, I taught my own children using American curriculum. I teach Language Arts, English Literature and Language, Creative Writing, Poetry - both writing, and reading, and many other fantastic and interesting topics.
I teach writing skills using the Writing Revolution techniques, and have seen students improve their writing skills rapidly using some of the techniques applied.
In addition, I worked as a graphic designer for 10 years, working from home, and offer graphic design and video editing classes, using Adobe Creative Suite, DaVinci Resolve, and soon, Affinity creative suite.
Growth Mindset is very important in my classes, and I encourage it in all learners - Growth Mindset is the belief that even if you can't do something or don't understand something, then you CAN learn how to do it or understand it. Growth Mindset says "I can't do it YET, but I can learn." Learning happens through making mistakes, and then modifying your approach, changing what you do, to improve. I encourage all learners to try, and to feel comfortable making mistakes, because that's how we all learn.
