In this 8-week gymnastics class, students will have the opportunity to learn gymnastics with their friends. Learners will have a small-group setting to practice working on skills like front rolls, backrolls, cartwheels, handstands, roundoff's, and other skills depending on the class skill level as a whole. Each week we will practice the basic skills (front roll, backroll, handstand, cartwheel) with a focus skill that we spend more time on. Starting in week six we will start learning how to combine 2 skills. The combination skills will be able to be done in the same space as single skills. Learners are welcome to join this class after the starting date. Please reach out if you are interested in starting this class after the start date. Class schedule: Week 1: warmup/stretch learn how to perform 4 basic skills: front roll, backroll, handstand, cartwheel Week 2: warmup/stretch focus on how to perform a front roll and variations of front rolls as well as reviewing front roll, backroll, handstand, and cartwheel Week 3: warmup/stretch Focus on how to perform a backroll and variations of backrolls as well as reviewing front roll, backroll, handstand, and cartwheel Week 4: warmup/stretch Focus on how to perform a handstand and variations of handstands as well as reviewing front roll, backroll, handstand and cartwheel Week 5: warmup/stretch Focus on how to perform a cartwheel and variations of cartwheels as well as reviewing front roll, backroll, handstand and cartwheel Week 6: warmup/stretch We will review front roll, back roll, handstand, and cartwheels. We will learn the combinations: front roll/back roll and variations of those rolls that we covered in weeks 1 and 2. Week 7: warmup/stretch We will review front roll, back roll, handstand, and cartwheels. We will learn the combinations: handstand/backroll and handstand front roll Week 8: warmup/stretch We will review front roll, back roll, handstand, and cartwheels. We will learn the combinations: handstand/cartwheel and cartwheel/cartwheel Please practice gymnastics in a safe space with no obstacles in the way. (coffee tables, breakable valuables, etc.) Also, provide a soft area (gymnastics mat, yoga mat, carpet) for your gymnast to practice on.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Kaz is a dedicated and passionate gymnastics coach with over a decade of experience. She began her coaching journey in 2009 and took her passion to the next level by opening Coach Kaz Gymnastics in 2012. Over the years, Kaz has expanded her business to online formats to share her love of gymnastics worldwide.
Kaz strives to make every session fun and active while fostering confidence, positive attitudes, and essential personal skills in her students. She believes that gymnastics is more than just a sport; it’s the foundation of human movement, providing the building blocks necessary for development in all sports. The fitness and life skills learned through gymnastics are tremendous, and Kaz is dedicated to showing her students that they can achieve anything they set their minds to with hard work and a positive attitude.
Kaz holds an associate's degree in Sports Exercise and Science from Amarillo College, where she gained hands-on experience teaching both children and adults about fitness and body movement. She furthered her education at West Texas A&M University, earning a degree in Psychology. This academic background provides Kaz with a deep understanding of how the mind and body work together, enhancing her ability to teach new skills effectively.
Kaz has taken numerous courses focused on teaching the foundations of gymnastics. Her commitment to continuing education and practical experience has made her an expert in her field. Kaz loves watching her students grow stronger and more confident with each new skill, knowing they have a solid foundation to build upon.
