This course will cover reading comprehension strategies excellent readers use when reading passages. This course at a 6th grade reading level and it will cover passages and strategies at the 6th grade reading level. This course is scheduled to meet 2 twice a week for 45 minutes to cover all the materials in this course.

Lesson 2:
Text Evidence and Vocabulary: Regulate, Align, Policy
This lesson consists of learning about what is text evidence; students will see videos and answer questions on text evidence and learning about vocabulary. 45 mins online live lesson
Lesson 3:
Making Inferences in Informational Texts and Literary Texts
This lesson consists of inferences in informational texts and literary texts and reading comprehension passage and questions. 45 mins online live lesson
Lesson 4:
Identifying Central Idea and Theme:
This lesson consists of: Understanding central idea in texts,
Creating objective summaries, Literary Theme: Seaking a deeper message, Understanding Theme, Vocabulary: Rebellion, Contentious, Resistance. 45 mins online live lesson

I have over 20 years of teaching experience. I have taught grades K-College level. I taught grades K-6 every subject including Bible and Art and grades 6-College English Language Arts. I've been an online tutor for Social Studies, Writing, ELA, and Science grades 6- College level. I was an Intervention Specialist for grades K-2, 1-5 ESOL and 6-8. I taught ESOL for several years as well. I have been on countless committees such as: Writing Rubric, Social Studies, Writing, Discipline Committee, National Junior Honor Society Advisor, Admissions Chair. I have a master's degree in education along with 80 credits above my master's degree. I come with extensive experience in education and look forward to being your child's teacher.
