What's included

Homework
1 hour per week. Homework will consist of journal prompts, reflection questions and worksheets to complete for personal use and learning. Students will be expected to post once a day to engage with the affirmation of the day.

Class Experience

Affirmations are medicine for our soul! They have the power to change the way we see ourselves, our families, our friends, our challenges and the world. When we affirm certain beliefs, they become our thoughts and actions allowing us to become the very BEST version of ourselves. In this class, we will cover topics such as gratitude, confidence, healthy habits, self-discipline, productivity, kindness, compassion, self-worth, creativity, and much more. 

Why 21 days? 
Research shows that it takes 21 days to create a new habit. In this class, learners will be given resources and tools to incorporate affirmations into their daily routine. Every day there will be a post in our classroom with one affirmation, reflection, and task for you to complete independently.
Each topic will accompany a card with an affirmation on one side and 3 questions on the back of the card. According to the topic, I will post videos and readings that will allow further reflection and discussion. Tasks expected to be completed by students will vary from journal prompts, reflection questions, worksheets, and challenges you can do at home with your families. If there are certain topics you want your learner to engage in - please reach out to me! I want this to be a very personal experience for you! My goal is to make affirmations a part of your daily routine during this course and after! 

Learners will be asked to share some insights throughout the 21 days as they feel comfortable. Each affirmation will accompany at least three questions. I encourage each learner to post their thoughts/reflections and share them with this class, as they feel comfortable.

Learners will be required to do the following to ensure participation and engagement during the course:
* Please type out the affirmation on our classroom page to confirm that you received the affirmation of the day.
* Answer at least 1-2 of the questions on our classroom page to engage with the affirmation of the day.
* Complete any worksheets/tasks provided daily and share on our page as you feel comfortable. 
* Please engage with at least 1 other student and share a quick message relating to their affirmation reflection. 

The class environment will be a safe place. This will be a place for sharing, listening, questions, and ideas. I want to encourage honesty and personal growth during our time together. I will be guiding questions/thoughts using affirmations to help gain from past experiences and build confidence to conquer unforeseen circumstances - the good, the wonderful, and the unpredictable! No prior experience with affirmations is necessary for this course.

Learning Goals
Students will be able to incorporate affirmations into their personal lives and incorporate these new beliefs when faced with challenges or new experiences.

With a (MA) Human Service Counseling & Life Coaching, I have a passion to serve students from a coaching perspective. My passion is encouraging students to be the absolute best version of themselves and allow them to express themselves confidently. 

Personal Experience:
This class idea was inspired by the 21 day meditation challenges run by Dr.Deepak Chopra. I participated in 4 different challenges focusing on abundance, gratitude, hope and peace. After the series, I participated in a paid course for a 44 day gratitude challenge. It was an amazing support system and I looked forward to the morning emails with the new task of the day to increase feelings of gratitude and simple ways to practice throughout the day. I still use many of the techniques and lessons I learned from this course. My hope here is to support you in the same way. There will be things that each learner connects with differently and will find helpful and useful. I hope this course resonates with you and your families!
