US Grade Kindergarten
In this one-time course, learners will be practicing letter sounds (A says /a/), traditional letter words (apple) and feel-good affirmation letter words (amazing). I will be using flashcards and screen sharing for visual aid. We will sing along with affirmation songs (bring instruments if you wish!) and color/trace our affirmation sheets to end our class. Learners will practice traditional letter words such as A is for apple, alligator, ant // B is for ball, blue, bat // while introducing affirmations words such as : A is for AMAZING B is for BRAVE C is for CREATIVE D is for DETERMINED E is for EAGER F is for FABULOUS G is for GENIUS H is for HONEST I is for IMPORTANT J is for JOYFUL K is for KIND L is for LEGENDARY M is for MIGHTY N is for NOBLE O is for OPTIMISTIC P is for POWERFUL Q is for QUALIFIED R is for RADIANT S is for STRONG T is for TERRIFIC U is for UNIQUE V is for VALUED W is for WONDERFUL X is for EXTRAORDINARY Y is for YES- I AM THE BEST! Z is for FULL OF ZEST! Once enrolled, I will upload a packet of affirmation sheets for you. Please look through them and print one of the letter sheets for your learner! You can choose any one of them that resonates or the first letter of your name! Please bring this worksheet to class to complete at the end of class. If you cannot print this worksheet, it can be easily recreated at home for you to participate during this activity!
Learning Goals
Learners will practice letter sounds as they are learning the alphabet and entering the early stages of learning how to read!
Students will have fun practicing NEW letter words and feel encouraged by them! Students will learn meanings to new affirmation words and recite "I am.." phrases throughout the class.
