Description
Class Experience
In this one-time course, learners will be practicing letter sounds (A says /a/), traditional letter words (apple) and feel-good affirmation letter words (amazing). I will be using flashcards and screen sharing for visual aid. We will sing along with affirmation songs (bring instruments if you wish!) and color/trace our affirmation sheets to end our class. Learners will practice traditional letter words such as A is for apple, alligator, ant // B is for ball, blue, bat // while introducing...
Learners will practice letter sounds as they are learning the alphabet and entering the early stages of learning how to read! Students will have fun practicing NEW letter words and feel encouraged by them! Students will learn meanings to new affirmation words and recite "I am.." phrases throughout the class.
At the end of class, I encourage learners to trace and write their affirmation with the worksheet provided.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
A worksheet will be attached. Please be mindful to either print or recreate. Thank you in advance - I appreciate you making this process smooth for our whole class!
