Private tutoring sessions are customized for each individual learner based on learning gaps.

The following is a list of some of the most requested math topics by our families. We have extensive experience supporting students in math from kindergarten to grade 8.

These math concepts are crucial to developing a concrete understanding of mathematics. Our sessions are specific to the needs of your learner. We will always reach out in advance to determine session focus. 

During this private tutoring session, learners will work 1:1 with a certified teacher to develop an understanding of math concepts. At the beginning of class, students will work through a quick diagnostic assessment to determine level of mathematical understanding. Teaching strategies and class content will be scaffolded to specifically meet the needs of each individual learner.  Parents are invited to work with the teacher to determine the mathematical area of focus for each session.

Private classes will focus on making sense of mathematics. We will use visuals that support learners to "see" the math, make connections and deepen understanding of math concepts.  Studies show that memorization and drills don't work for all students.  When students understand numbers and math concepts...they have the skills to solve problems in a way that makes sense to them.  Students will build a math mindset that will give them the confidence to be the best that they can be!
