The overall goal is to improve reading so that it becomes a lifelong skill. include basic phonics knowledge, recognizing syllable types, decoding, improving reading accuracy and fluency, developing comprehension skills, expanding vocabulary and word knowledge, increasing confidence and motivation for reading
I am a licensed teacher with over 15 years of experience in a public school classroom. Before that, I taught in a Head Start classroom for 10 years. I have degrees in early childhood and elementary education, as well as two Masters's degrees in education. I have an additional certification in teaching reading.
Assessment
頻率: 包括細節: I contact families after each lesson with an update on what we worked on for that class.
I welcome students of all levels and needs. I work with families to put strategies into place that accommodate each learner's individual needs.
Supplies will vary- Writing materials: whiteboard and markers, paper and Flair or colored pens, alphabet tiles, salt tray Optional: Pop-iT
I may choose to use Kahoot! or PearDeck with some learners to practice their reading skills. Both of these resources protect learner information and only require a link for each day's use. The links are provided by the teacher and are unique to each class and learner.
