The class goal is to review the historic facts about the life and legacy of Benjamin Franklin, one of America's most famous Founding Fathers.
I am a licensed and highly-qualified teacher of social studies for grades 2-9, with over 15 years of teaching experience. I have a bachelor's degree in elementary education and two Master's degree in education. Teaching history from the viewpoint of people, rather than nations is important to me.

Blooket is a game review platform. Learners are provided access codes unique for the class section that they enrolled in on Ben Franklin. Learners do not provide private information to access the review game. The code can be used for a limited time after the class has been attended. Google Forms is a link that I can send to the classroom that allows learners to rewatch a video clip or view images used in the lesson on their own time. Only learners with the link can view and use the Form. Google Jamboard is a teacher-created page that allows learners to post questions before the class and interact immediately after the class. The link is a one-time link only for learners in a specific class. The term "Founding Father' is commonly used by historians to describe people that were active in creating the United States of America as an independent nation. I do not use this term to take away from the thousands of men and women of all backgrounds who worked to create the USA. During class, I explain what this means to historians and why this term is used.
