Bonjour! Tu parles français? This fun and interactive 8-week online French course is designed for children aged 10-14 who are new to the French language. Through engaging activities, games, and storytelling, students will build a strong foundation in French vocabulary, pronunciation, and basic grammar. Each week, we will explore a new theme, from greetings and introductions to food, family, and everyday conversations. In this beginner-friendly course, students will learn essential French words and phrases through interactive activities, role-playing, and cultural insights. By the end of the 8 weeks, your child will be able to introduce themselves, talk about their interests, order food, and have simple conversations in French. Perfect for young learners who want to discover a new language in an exciting and supportive environment. We use ed tech such as Nearpod, Kahoot!, and Gimkit to enhance the learning experience in this French course. With a focus on speaking and listening, children will gain confidence in using French in real-life situations. No prior experience is required—just curiosity and a willingness to learn!

Parental Guidance
In this class, we will occasionally use Nearpod, Gimkit and Kahoot quizzes through a link that the teacher shares with the learner. The learner will not need to sign in. In addition, we might use a Google document for written assignments and vocabulary. Occasionally, the teacher will share educational, appropriate youtube videos to provide additional material.
Supply List
Learners might need a pen and some paper to take notes or draw during class, and they can also use any other digital note-taking app.

The educator started learning French at the age of 9 when she travelled to France to stay with a French family for a couple of weeks. At school and university, she continued her studies at an advanced level and taught in France. In Canada, the educator taught at a French first-language school (Grade 5 - 6).
