Beginner Level
Welcome to Part 2 of our 4-part series in German learning! This German for beginners Homeschool High School course is designed to expand your vocabulary and improve your language skills focusing on specific themes such as shopping, groceries, and clothing. Additionally, we'll delve into fascinating cultural traditions like Erntedank (Thanksgiving) and Weihnachten (Christmas), while discussing the seasons of fall and winter. A key grammatical focus will be on mastering the accusative case. Students will engage in various activities to enhance their speaking, listening, reading, and writing abilities in German.

In each session, students will learn new German vocabulary and useful expressions in an immersive way. Please check out the syllabus of the class to learn more about the topics in this part.

This is an interactive class and each student is encouraged to participate actively with video as the learners will have the chance to pronounce the words first for themselves (on mute) and then in class so that I can give valid feedback on the pronunciation in an encouraging, safe way. Also, students will practice little everyday dialogues with each other (e.g. asking about hobbies).

The amount of German/English that I will speak in each class will depend on the learners' abilities and preferences. However, I will always try to speak as much German as possible to ensure the learners' exposure to the language.
