Beginner Level
Jump into the exciting world of Roblox game development and bring your creative ideas to life! In this hands-on, project-based class, learners will use Roblox Studio to build obstacle courses (Obbys), design 3D towns, sculpt terrain, and even add weather effects like rain and snow — all while learning basic Lua coding and game logic. Each class is structured to balance creative freedom with step-by-step guidance, helping kids grow both technical skills and design confidence. Students will explore tools in Roblox Studio, learn to script simple game mechanics, and finish each session with a shareable mini-project they can be proud of. What Makes This Class Special - Real Game Development Skills Learn to build games from scratch using Roblox Studio’s powerful tools and Lua scripting. - Creative Expression Meets Code Design obstacle courses, cities, forests, and bring your world to life with lighting and weather effects. - Intro to Coding Understand real coding concepts in Lua in a beginner-friendly way, with code snippets, templates, and support. Class Flow (55 Minutes) Warm-Up & Demo (5 mins): Introduction to the day’s theme and a live walkthrough in Roblox Studio. Main Build Time (20 mins): Learners work on the day’s project—Obby, town, or natural terrain—guided through tools and techniques. Game Design Challenge (20 mins): Add exciting elements like checkpoints, rain or snow, and custom lighting using simple scripts. Showcase & Feedback (5 mins): Students share their games or scenes, discuss their creative choices, and receive positive feedback from peers and the teacher. Our teaching style is supportive, energetic, and highly interactive. We guide learners step-by-step, while leaving space for them to customize and experiment. Whether a student is building their first Roblox game or expanding on past experience, they’ll feel empowered to explore, make mistakes, ask questions, and create something unique. Each class combines structured goals with open-ended creativity, making it perfect for both beginners and budding game developers.
