In this course we will be discussing the history of Alcatraz Island. We will discuss the military history of Alcatraz Island. We will discuss what life was like for both prisoners and civilians on the island during the time it was used as a prison. And no discussion of Alcatraz Island is complete without talking about the infamous prison break. I will use slides, photos, storytelling and a handout.
