Welcome artists! This is a short and fun class designed to get young artists started in animation, specifically 2D digital animation! I will be demonstrating by using an ipad app called Rough Animator, but I will also discuss alternative (and some FREE) programs including FlipaClip, Krita, and Procreate. I have my degree in Animation and have been a professional animator and animation teacher for 6 years now. I LOVE teaching these specific exercises because it is an exciting way to show students that they CAN animate!
For 2D digital animation, students will need a phone, an ipad, or a computer to work with. There are a few free apps and websites that we will cover, but students ARE NOT required to have anything for this class. Students are more than welcome to simply watch and decide later on if they wish to try out any of the apps/programs we cover! What I use for my digital animations: -iPad Pro 12.5inch with Apple Pencil -Rough Animator App ($5) -Procreate App ($5) -Mac Computer -Wacom Tablet & Pen -Adobe Animate (Part of the Adobe CC account $20month)
