These intense lessons cover the basic elements of writing. This course will assist a struggling writer to construct different Essay topics for several weeks.
Class experience
US Grade 6 - 9
This is also a Content Rich Writing Course that will assist writers with producing cohesive content in their essay responses. Students will practice reading multiple texts followed by constructing a cohesive response from them. This is definitely a Common Core strategy and skill that is tested throughout school districts. Students will learn how to construct 3 - 5 paragraph writing responses when given a specific task. They will be required to incorporate literary elements, devices, techniques, and vocabulary into their text to enhance the quality of their writing.
Homework Offered
Some essays will be completed at home if task is not completed during class session.Assessments Offered
The teacher will provide a verbal assessment of each writing response. Students will also be given Free Write tasks, which will be counted as an assessment.Grades Offered
