This class will help learners build their vocabulary by learning to spell words based on different categories. This class is recommendied after taking Spell Check I: Improve your Spelling, but can also be taken first . Each class will meet once per week and is ongoing, Each week a different category of spelling words will be introduced. A worksheet with the words as well as other fun resources like crossword puzzles and word searches will be provided. At the end of the 12 week cycle, a spelling test with 20 words will be given. There will be multiple different tests. The schedule is as follows: Week 1: Animal words- May 4, June 16 Week 2: Family words- May 11, June 23 Week 3: Medical words- May 18, June 30 Week 4: Dance words- May 25, July 7 Week 5: Symbols Words- June 1, July 21 Week 6: Job Words- June 15, July 28, Week 7: Nutrition and Food Words- June 22, August 4 Week 8: Summer Words- June 29, August 11 Week 9: Ocean Words- July 6, August 28 Week 10: Books Words- July 13, Sept 25 Week 11: Geography Words- July 20, Sept 1 Week 12: Spelling Test- July 27, Sept 8

Hi! I am Karen Evans. I am excited to help you learn!
Teaching has always been my first love and now I am enjoying it during this chapter in my life. I am a semi-retired Director of Human Resources. That career has given me the opportunity to teach classes on Leadership, Confidence, Self Esteem, Careers, Social Injustice and other Life Skills.
As an elementary school substitute teacher for the last 5 years, I can also invest in your child’s reading, writing, spelling and grammar. These fundamental courses are the foundation to your child’s success in life.
I value education and have a Masters Degree in Human Resources and Management and am a adjunct faculty member teaching Human Resource and Management courses at Park University.
I have an easy-going, interactive teaching style that is fun!
I would love to transfer knowledge to your child.
