What's included
Class Experience
Students will not meet live but there will be plenty of opportunity for interaction. Teacher will post a slideshow presentation where we will learn about unique creatures that build and live in unique homes. The teacher will demonstrate a coordinating craft in a craft video that students can follow along to while engaging their fine motor skills. There will be weekly printable activities in the classroom for students to complete after class on their own as an extra learning experience. There will be a weekly Nearpod interactive collaborate board where students can draw and view other students' work. Students are encouraged to post their completed crafts to the classroom for the teacher and other students to view. There will be an end of week Kahoot Quiz that students can coordinate to take at the same time as other students for a challenge, or take on their own. End of week notes will also be posted to the classroom. All learning materials will be posted Mondays 8 a.m. EST while the Kahoot quiz and End of Week Notes will be posted on Friday 8 a.m. EST. The classroom is the place to post questions, comments, and conversations. The teacher will respond as soon as possible. The class schedule is as follows: Week One: Beaver We will explore the unique home of the beaver, how it is made and what purpose it serves for the beaver. Teacher will demonstrate a beaver craft that students can follow along to while engaging their fine motor skills. Printable activities will be offered in the classroom for an after class fun learning supplement. Week Two: Paper Wasp We will explore the unique home of the paper wasp, how it is made and what purpose it serves for the wasp. Teacher will demonstrate a beaver craft that students can follow along to while engaging their fine motor skills. Printable activities will be offered in the classroom for an after class fun learning supplement. Week Three: Cliff Swallows We will explore the unique home of the cliff swallow, how it is made and what purpose it serves for the bird. Teacher will demonstrate a beaver craft that students can follow along to while engaging their fine motor skills. Printable activities will be offered in the classroom for an after class fun learning supplement. Week Four: Australian Weaver Ants We will explore the unique home of the Australian Weaver Ant, how it is made and what purpose it serves for the ants. Teacher will demonstrate a beaver craft that students can follow along to while engaging their fine motor skills. Printable activities will be offered in the classroom for an after class fun learning supplement.
Learning Goals
Students will improve their understanding of four different creatures that build and live in unique homes. Children will engage their fine motor skills by creating a coordinating weekly craft. Students will supplement their in class learning with optional after class printable activities.

Supply List
Students will need the following for the weekly crafts: Week One: 1. One large paper bowl 2. Printable from classroom 3. Three white, black or brown pipe cleaners 4. Glue 5. Scissors 6. Brown Paint 7, Paintbrush 8. Brown Crayon Week Two: 1.One Toilet paper roll 2.One paper egg carton egg holder section (just one section that holds one egg cut out; please do not shorten the sides) 3.One coffee filter or if you do not have a coffee filter you can use a 12 x 5 inch piece of parchment or waxed paper 4. Black paint 5. Yellow paint 6. Paint brush 7. One black or brown pipe cleaner standard size cut in half 8. glue Week Three: Craft Printable from classroom One large paper plate One sheet of colored paper, tan or light brown or yellow Glue Scissors Brown paint Paint brush Crayons; blue, orange, brown, grey, and black Week Four: 1. Paper egg carton; three egg holding sections kept together 2. Four orange, brown or black standard size pipe cleaners 3. Classroom Printable 4. Glue 5. Scissors 6. Orange Paint 7. Paint brush
