This one-time class is a safe and encouraging place for singers to perform the songs they have practiced so diligently in voice lessons.
Class experience
Singers will perform one or two songs (depending on class enrollment and song length) in class and serve as audience members for the others in class. Singers will showcase what they have learned using pre-recorded accompaniments or will self-accompany. Only the teacher will comment and give feedback to the learners. Dr. Smith has 18 years of one-on-one voice lesson teaching experience with students ages 7 and up. She has taught voice in the USA and India. She holds three music degrees in vocal music, including a Doctorate in Vocal Performance. Her former students have placed in international voice competitions, completed Masters programs in voice, and hold successful full-time careers in music. She has performed in the USA, Austria, India, and Switzerland. Currently, Dr. Smith, a mezzo-soprano, performs professionally as a soloist and chorister.
