Day 1: Task Prioritization Practice Day 2: Weekly Time Management Plan Detailed instructions for each homework assignment will be given in class. Homework is mandatory for Day 1 and optional for Day 2.

Class Experience

This interactive and engaging course is designed to teach children aged 11-14 the essential skills of time management, helping them to balance schoolwork, extracurricular activities, and leisure time effectively. Through fun and practical lessons, students will learn how to prioritize tasks, plan their schedules, and overcome procrastination. By the end of the course, they will have developed personalized time management plans to use in their daily lives, setting them up for academic and personal success.

Structured as a lecture-style class with interactive discussions, each session includes a blend of direct teaching and practical exercises. My teaching style is supportive and engaging, fostering a welcoming environment for open dialogue and questions. Please note that this course is not meant to be a form of therapy, but rather an educational and skill-building experience.

Syllabus

over 1 Week
Lesson 1:
Introduction to Time Management & Setting Priorities
 Students will learn the basics of time management and the importance of balancing school, homework, and playtime. Through interactive activities, vibrant presentations, and a hands-on prioritization exercise, students will understand how to identify and prioritize their tasks. The lesson concludes with a Q&A session to reinforce their learning and prepare them for the next session.

Lesson 2:
Planning, Scheduling, and Avoiding Procrastination
 Students will explore planning and scheduling techniques to effectively manage their time, including creating a simple weekly schedule. They will learn about procrastination, its causes, and practical strategies to avoid it through engaging discussions and fun activities. The session concludes with students developing their own personalized time management plans, preparing them to apply these skills in their daily lives.
