Class Experience

Living with daily anger and frustration puts a big strain on kids. In this course students will learn what anger is, where it comes from, and what they can do to take control of it. We will engage in informal discussion and practice simple and effective techniques to combat anger and stop it in its tracks. Each class includes printable material that students can use to to keep their cool when anger comes to visit.

My teaching style is hands on and engaging. I believe that students learn best when they are relaxed, engaged, and feel personally invested in their learning. I take time at the beginning of class to create a welcoming environment and give the students a chance to get to know one another. Once everyone feels comfortable we will jump right into the good stuff. It is my goal that students feel in control of their own learning which will give them confidence to use their new anger management skills in their daily lives.

Please have your child pick a favorite toy/item/drawing/anything that they would like to share with the group at the start of class. Kids love sharing what they love and it gives us an opportunity to loosen up and have some fun before talking about a sometimes tough subject.
