I am a licensed and experienced educator with over 28 years in public education. I have experience teaching first, second, fourth, and fifth grades, as well as tutoring pre-school through middle-school age. In addition to serving as a general education teacher, I have served as a literacy specialist and a math coach. I have experience working with students both in-person and virtually via a variety of platforms. Recently, I earned my doctorate in curriculum and instruction and enjoy creating engaging and innovative classes to teach students new skills. I currently teach literacy instruction to pre-service teachers at the master's level and love having an influence on future teachers.
Each week, learners will have a trait to practice based upon the writing trait being covered that week. Some weeks there will be more homework than others, depending on the trait we are working on.
